Part II: Wednesday the 26th


Things didn't go exactly as I had planned them in my mind. I had two locations in mind that I wanted to shoot. The first one wasn't accessible by car anymore, and since I left my car and borrowed my chica's I really didn't want to leave it just sitting there. I probably could have left it there and it would have been fine....but with my luck, and I assure you it's extremely bad, it would have been stripped bare. The second location took me about half an hour to find an area where I could park and be within walking distance because, again, I didn't want to risk anything happening to it. This location was behind a recycling center where there used to be an old train depot. For some reason I have an obsession with old decrepit buildings. It wasn't as I remember it from my teenage years. The way I remember it, it was a hell of a lot larger and a hell of a lot more foreboding. Regardless, I took a few shots. Though, I'm pretty sure they probably won't be used. After all that running around and being stressed out because things weren't going as planned, I decided to head back home an proceed to get drunk. End Part II.


Part III: Thursday the 27th


So I came home from a long slow day at work not really feeling too creative. And me, being the drunk I am, figured what better way to kill the rest of the day than to partake in the drinking of senor Bacardi Select and Cherry Coke. Well, after the first two 12 oz drinks I decided to pick up the SLR and try some macro shots using the reverse-lensicology method. Yes, I made up the term. I tried a few conceptual shots involving a loaded .38 an about $1k cash. I also shot a few pictures of this baby mouse skull I found outside a few days ago. I tell ya, if you think it's hard to hold a lens backwards, try to focus, adjust f-stops and take the damn picture....you should try doing it with a nice little buzz. I think they'll all be under-exposed with the exception of maybe two that will be over exposed.... not to mention I didn't use a tripod so they'll probably be a tad blurry. But, all in all...I left the experience feeling really good considering that's the most effort I have put into "art" since September 11th of 2005. I'm going to go ahead and develop the film tomorrow and if the pictures come out any good I am going to try to do some more "studio style" macro shots using a light box. Yeah.... this is where that god damn 40D would come in handy. I'd be able to experiment with almost instant results. *grumble grumble*

I only tell you this because I was more or less challenged which means I will have to post it here. And unless I can get a really good macro shot, please don't consider it an attempt at anything artistic.
